Anderson & Anderson Organizational Emotional Intelligence/Anger Management Training

On-site workshops or presentations regarding anger management, civility or emotional intelligence are now available nationwide for businesses of all sizes . These are available in half-day or full-day format. Workshops are developed to meet the specific needs of the audience. Generally, each workshop will begin with the Conover Anger Management Assessment. This assessment is a Map which provides a baseline of the participant’s level of functioning in recognizing and managing anger, stress, communication and emotional intelligence. A fifth category is motivation to change. Feedback regarding the results of this assessment is given in a group format while preserving confidentiality.

Workshops involve formal presentation, active participant engagement, DVD's, role-play and shared discussion. A copy of the popular Anderson & Anderson workbook, Gaining Control of Ourselves or The Practice of Control is included in all workshops along with Tips for Managing Anger. The Anderson & Anderson model of /executive coaching/anger management is the most widely used anger management curriculum in the world. Executive Coaching/Anger Management for Physicians & High-Profile Clients

In response to the need for a one on one individual and sensitive intervention coaching model for “disruptive physicians”, Anderson & Anderson is now offering a twelve-hour coaching program with 6 months of aftercare for “disruptive physicians”. This course is available at our Brentwood, California office or on-site seven days a week anywhere in the United States. The Anderson & Anderson Executive Coaching/Anger Management Program™ is listed in the Directory of Physician Assessment and Remedial Education Programs, Federation of State Medical Boards. This program was developed in conjunction with physicians from Tenet Healthcare. No other anger management provider is authorized to use this model.

Components of the course include:
  • One day, on-site observation (optional)
  • Comprehensive Emotional Intelligence Assessments are given at intake, focusing on the participant's level of functioning in managing stress, anger, communication and emotional intelligence. We do not provide psychological testing, nor is our intervention considered counseling or psychotherapy. Rather, it is a skill enhancement intervention based on emotional intelligence. Therefore, there are no stigmas attached.
  • "The Practice of Control", the new Anderson & Anderson Physician client workbook, includes didactic information and exercises focusing on enhancing emotional intelligence, improving assertive communication, as well as behavioral strategies for recognizing and managing anger and stress.
  • Complimentary "Gaining Control of Ourselves" DVD along with follow-up kit.
  • "Styles of Communication" and "A Day Without Stress" are two power DVDs that are also complimentary.
  • Post-test at completion designed to determine the level of change during the course.
  • Bi-monthly follow-up sessions are provided for a six-month period when needed.
  • Our services are provided with the utmost in confidentiality for all participants.

  • Los Angeles County Superior Court List Update

    We at Anderson & Anderson are in the process of updating our Los Angeles County Superior Court Providers List. The new list will be completed during the month of December and reflected on our website by January 1, 2010. Also, effective January 1, 2010, the Los Angeles Providers list will only be issued once each year. The court has asked that the July list be discontinued. Therefore, only providers who have met the required standards will appear on the January list.

    The fee to be on the court list is $49.00 per month, per location. Payments for the Los Angeles Court list must be made no later than December 31, 2009. Please send us your contact information exactly as you would like it to be presented on the court list.

    All Certified Anderson & Anderson Anger Management Facilitators are required to complete 16 hours of CEUs annually.

    For 2009, we are offering live training in Oakland on November 13 & Los Angeles on December 7, 2009. The title of the training is "Organizational Emotional Intelligence/ Anger Management Training." Our DVD with the same title will be given to each participant, along with sample requests for organizational training.

    Providers who wish to complete the Home Study training may do so by ordering the DVD along with the written exercise.

    Effective November1, 2009, new providers who wish to appear on the court list are required to have completed a full 40 hour Live Anger management training.

  • Los Angeles County Superior Court Providers List Requirement Change

    In keeping with the Anderson & Anderson mission to provide the highest quality, most effective anger management services, all providers who wish to appear on the LA County Superior Court List must have completed a 40 hour live anger management training. This will go into effect on 11/01/2009.
